Training Course: Counter Balance (RTITB)

The course is to RTITB standards and covers the following:

• Legislation and duties of operators
• Identification of component parts
• Stability
• Steer exercises
• Load transport
• Pre-use examination
• Associated knowledge examination
• Practical examination

The training venue will require the following:

• A suitably sized indoors practical training area (electric or LPG trucks only) that is away from any activities,

Or

• A suitably sized secure outdoors practical training area (electric, diesel or LPG trucks) that is away from any activities, overhead cables or obstacles with a flat surface

And

• A suitable inside room for theory training that will be uninterrupted (with a power point)
• Access to welfare – toilets, running water, suitable temperature, etc
• A suitable serviced counter balance lift truck, racking to a height of 3m, 20 pallets of equal size, 2 cones/drums

The candidate(s) should:

• Be over the age of school leaving age (must be 18 and over if operating in docks)
• Possess the necessary level of mental fitness and learning ability required
• Possess a reasonable degree of physical fitness to satisfy guidelines in HSG6

MHTO Training will provide:

• The Trainer/Examiner
• All training materials, handouts
• Projector, screen, videos, presentation

Training will be delivered and conducted according to RTITB strict guidelines. The instructor will need to see photo ID at commencement of the course. Should you require an RTITB Operators Card the costs are £20.00 for each candidate and you will be required to supply a passport photo at the commencement of the course.
