2.05 Internal Layout

The maximum distance that anyone should travel from any point in a marquee to reach a final exit should not exceed 24 metres. For structures over 39 metres span this should be discussed with the Fire and the Licensing Authority applicable at the planning stage.

Gangways in a marquee used for trade shows and exhibitions should be of no less than 4 units of exit (i.e. 2.1 metres) between stands.

Gangways in marquees used for a theatre or conference should be of no less than 2 units of exit (i.e. 1.05 metres) between rows of chairs/seating.
